Once again, my birthday has come around. Here are some more indisputable facts about life. As usual, nothing before my birth year

2. The Verges Fantastic Four article is possibly the best writing I've read in my life
3. Rachel Handlers Vulture articles are always a riot

12. Mad Men, Parks & Recreation, 30 Rock and Fringe are all perfect shows

14. Mr. Carter outro is beautiful. The connection to Jay-Z's Lucky Me is fascinating and honestly a full circle moment for two of the greatest to ever do it

17. Rema’s “I get money pass your papa” is such a disrespectful line that he should be flogged. It's fucking filthy and truly inspired
18. Seyi Vibez is the most imperfect perfect thing to come out of Nigeria in 10 years. He took Terry Apala and Terry G and everyone else and coalesced it into something profoundly Nigerian, yet uniquely him
19. Wizkid is a lazy musician, and he hasn't made a better album than Superstar. He’s made bigger (not necessarily better) songs but as an album, Superstar was peak Wizkid

21. Harry Potter is the greatest work of fantasy put to paper
22. Batman, not Darkseid is

24. Elegushi Spenders is a song that might not be the best but is the best.
25. I have some articles that I love re-reading. They remind me of why I write the drivel I do. They include The Verge on the Fantastic Four and Empire's Gods Among Us

30. Ka will forever be missed by me
31. The beat switch on Throwaway is a work of art
32. Hot Body by Arya Starr is a dumb song. But it is such a phenomenally fun song that you are left feeling sexy once you hear it
33. Asake's Sungba and Black Sheriff's Second Sermon DID NOT require Burna Boy on it. If anything he watered down the tracks from their original flavour
34. Lonnie Holley was someone I did not know of until 2023, and now I wonder how I ever survived without him
35. Generally don't love Meryl Streep, but her ending line in Doubt is possibly one of the greatest ending lines in a movie
